Hi Andreas !

Thanx for the sharing of your pictures. Getting more out the TW motor is our main problem. The 4 strokes 125 cc engine is reliable but rather weak. Some of us have customized their air box, here is a link (with pics) which shows how to proceed : AIR BOX (http://yamaha.tw.free.fr/filtre_boite_air_tw.htm#boite)

Here is another link about the power increasing of the engine :
 PREPARATIONS (http://216.239.39.104/translate_c?&langpair=fr%7Cen&u=http://yamaha.tw.free.fr/preparation_preparateur_tw.htm) (thank you Olox)

The exhaust on your bike is very nice, is it  custom made ?

 ;-)

I'll translate your post for the others forum members ...

Welcome !

Please to see Big Wheels Addicts from Norway!

For the "how to get more from this 125cc", there is some little customs which can help, but nothing really fantastic. You should use a translator (french to english ?) for these pages :

Seems like you've removed the whole outlet of your exhaust !! Must be noisy !!

9.000 14 52 97

I've tried the 54 rear sprocket ... It was great. The bike seems to be more powerful with a bigger sprocket, it's gathering speed quickly and the acceleration was better . But the engine speed was high (more than 10 000 rounds per minute at 100/110 kmh)... I'm using my bike on fastlanes and i didn't want to keep the 54 rear sprocket cause the engine speed was way too high.

Anyway, a bigger sprocket is good for country free rides and for city rides. A board member named christddel tried various sizes : 47, 52, 54 and even the 58 sprocket ... He said that wheelings are yours with a 58 !!!

 :-)

It's manufactured by http://www.midway-prod.com/ (http://www.midway-prod.com/)

well, i have heard that yamaha have made a motor that is just like 125,200,225 whatever..but the pistons are just changed and the 125 have a sleeve in the cylinder than can be taken out at people can set on a 225 piston...
I have not tried to take up the sylinder too look in it...has anyoen done it? well... it had been cool with a 225 tw.....

In norway they say....you don`t trim a yamaha you just make it a real 225ccm...the bike is built for 225ccm=)
