Titre: sqeak @ front :(
Posté par: snailofsatan le Lun. 23 Janv. 2006, 21:00:50
hello! i'm a bit of a noob to motorbike, road on them when i was a kid around fields, but that's about it..

i got a 2003 Yamaha TW125 on the road recently & i'm absolutely loving it :D It's so much fun! but the last couple of days i've noticed a sqeak somewhere near the front of the bike, when i go over 30 or 40 mph it seems to go away, but anything around 20 i can easily hear it.. does it sound like something rubbing, or my front disc brake / suspension or? i'm not sure what else i can think of, it's been out in the rain and the cold, but i'm not sure what it could be :(

any help would be much appreciated :)
+ sorry for posting in English!

kev.

Hi, and (http://yelims.free.fr/Coucou/Coucou00.gif)

You may not know, but UK is a real Holy Land for the tw... :-)

Don't feel sorry for writting in english, it's an international board and we have our own team of oustanding translator... :-D

I personnaly don't have answere for your problem but I translate as many people could help you... ;-)

Maybe you could  tell us the milleage of your bike?

Hello there Kev,

You should check the front brake. The brake pads might rub the disk if it's twisted.

The brake piston might have seized up.
