round headlight (again! ;-)

Hi everybody,
I'm back with the same old questions...
I had found a nice round headlight on an Italian website but didn't know how to fit it on my Type I TW until christddel posted this message on another forum a few days ago:

It's just the headlight I had found, only much cheaper (thank you Louis.de! ;-)
Now I'd like to know if somebody actually tried this solution, or is going to try...
Do you think it's possible to fit the flasher lights through that hole in the supports? And I'm afraid this headlight may be too big and heavy for our little fork...
I'd really like to try but I'm not much of a mechanic/electrician. If I get this headlight I'd like to buy a little fumé windscreen, too, like Zephe's one (http://yamaha.tw.free.fr/photos_30_tw125.htm).
Actually I was also thinking about changing the handlebar with one "naked" style, which is a little smaller (76x6 cm instead of 80x8), so that one can get less air on the body while driving...
What do you think?

Hi ! Nice to know you back on the forum !
Concerning the headlight, by now, I don't know about anyone having tried yet !
But anyway, the headlight won't be neither too big nore too heavy ! Have you ever seen the headlight of the TW type2 ?
Otherwise, the holes seem to be big enough to fit the flashers.

I have only seen Type 2 headlights in pictures, and it seems a little smaller than this one, which has an 18 cm glass cm but an overall diameter of almost 20.
I'll go measure my fork and maybe try some photomontage to see how it would look... ;-)

Great work ! Looks good ! Figure out the distance of the middle of each fork-tube, then look if it matches somehow with the diameter of the headlight. This, in order to make sure that it will fit between them. But I think it'll be ok.
For the indicators, it should be ok also! Other wise you'll have to enlarge the holes.

The distance between the middle of the tubes is 21,5 cm and the outer diameter of the headlight is 20 cm. I wrote Louis.de, just to be sure, and they replied almost immediately, saying it's okay like this!
For a better look, I think I will need smaller flashers with a shorter stem, but these are easy to find in shops here, so I'll think about it later.

Well, Type I TW is definitely the most good-looking "enduro" ever... but I think it can do good as a little scrambler, too.
Anyway, I ordered the whole stuff - let's see how it goes. I'll keep you informed if you want.

I got the parcel from Louis.de ten minutes ago.
The headlight is beautiful, and it's not so big after all... and the lightbulbs are already installed! Wow! 70 euros with bulbs. Great!
The supports look really sturdy.
And then there's the cockpit - veeeeery nice!

I will try to mount the whole stuff tomorrow. Mmmm... the headlight has 5 wires of different colors coming out of it... hopefully I will figure them out!  ;-)
I'll let you know how it goes and post pictures asap.

Ehm... I'm afraid I'll have to ask for help on how to connect all these wires!! ;-)
Actually my father is a motorcycle mechanic and an electrician, but I'd rather do it myself... if possible.
The headlight comes with no instructions at all.
Here's the rear of it open, with 5 wires:

Now... how the hell do I put this thing together?!?
